August 20, 2015 There was a World War something song we had to learn in the sixth grade. Red sails in the sunset. I couldn’t help but remember that song this last weekend while we spent an evening along the shores of the Salish Sea. The spectacular sunsets we’re experiencing here in the west are due to all the forest fires. My heart goes out to the families who’ve lost their loved ones as they bravely battled the blazes and I salute all those who fight the fires. Where would we be without your sacrifice? Here’s to you. What Represents Connection to Me

Connection When I am able to share¬† with someone a place in time . . . an experience, that is a connection. I live in an area visited by people from around the world, the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Many have not experienced the wonders of the rainforest valleys or the snow-topped alpine meadows, or the ocean. I love to take people to special places and have them experience the wonderment of just being there experiencing it. What a joy it is! It’s not something my camera often captures.
