Connection When I am able to share with someone a place in time . . . an experience, that is a connection. I live in an area visited by people from around the world, the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Many have not experienced the wonders of the rainforest valleys or the snow-topped alpine meadows, or the ocean. I love to take people to special places and have them experience the wonderment of just being there experiencing it. What a joy it is! It’s not something my camera often captures. The Lowly Dandelion I read Pickled Pastors posted sermon dealing with dandelions (there’s a link at the bottom of this post,) and a few things came to mind. I realize the photo above is not a dandelion but for now, it will do. (I went outside to photo a dandelion flower or some fairies and they were all gone–gone away till the next batch pops up. All our yard currently sports is the greens and their deep roots.) Let me remind readers that I’m a medicinal herbalist. The lowly dandelion, it’s true, is termed a weed by modern gardeners and … Continue reading Pondering the Lowly Dandelion
REVIEWING THEMES Hello everyone. It took me a few times reading the assignment to focus in on the very first sentence: “If you go into the “Themes” section of the classic dashboard, you’ll be able to preview themes without actually activating them.” I was so concerned about losing what I had I failed to see this sentence. Maybe I can blame it on being to tired. Anyways, I’ve become attached to my current theme but here are some ones that I tried: Saga: I liked this theme. Dark, clean, drop down menu. Edin: This did not work for me. It … Continue reading Blogging 101 Day 5: Themes
Who is the target audience for your life stories? By Leneé Cobb I’m going to write about something we covered in class, something I cover in every class I give: When it comes to your life story (stories,) who is your target audience? The fact that I noticed a fellow blogger, one I enjoy following as a matter of fact, typed the words “target audience” in her blog’s title, and blogging 101’s assignment for day fours subject matter deals with target audience makes the timing pretty sweet for me. I presented two, no, … Continue reading Writing Life Stories: Session1. June 9 2015

Blogging 101 Day 1 I’m here at blogging 101 (and photo 101) because I’ve taken writing 101 and want to improve my blog, my writing, my exposure, and to meet and learn from fellow bloggers. I’m discovering a whole world of wonderful people and enjoy reading about their experiences and expertise. Because I am a writing coach, writing is a topic of interest. However, my interests are varied. I’m also an artist, herbalist, adventurer in heart if no longer body, wife, mom, grandma, friend, and last but first of all I’m a basic Christian. My subject matter varies accordingly. Throughout … Continue reading Blogging 101: Day 1
